STUDY SKILLS AND STRATEGIES
Grades 9, 10
One-quarter Credit/Semester Course

This course is designed to help students develop skills and strategies for school success. The course will cover managing study times and routines, reading and interpreting visual aids, reading and taking notes from textbooks and class, using reference sources, remembering information, preparing for and taking tests, pronouncing long words, finding main ideas, and building vocabulary through word meaning clues.

This class will meet 3 days per week, off-set by a study hall on the two days the class does not meet.
