The Joseph G. Izzi Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by Todd and Jennifer (Izzi) Parker – Class of 1990, in memory of Jennifer’s father, Joe. Joe was a 1949 graduate of Steubenville Catholic Central and played high school football. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Joe firmly believed in and was a proud supporter of Catholic education. All of his children attended and graduated from CCHS. The Parker’s founded this scholarship in his memory.
To qualify for the scholarship, the applicant can be of any class year – freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior, whose class attendance is 90% or greater, and has a cumulative GPA of at 3.25.
A total award of $500 will be awarded each year to either one ($500) or two students ($250 each). This scholarship is renewable for the student attending Steubenville Catholic Central High School, provided that all criteria is consistently met.
To apply for the scholarship, applicant must complete the application form, show proof of school attendance, and submit and essay explaining why Catholic education is important to the applicant. All scholarship applications and materials will be reviewed by the Steubenville Catholic Schools Foundation Board. The final determination will be made by the Director of Advancement and the Financial Administrator.
