Dear Crusader Alumni, Families, and Friends.

This month saw an incredible CCHS Art Show, victories in Track, a (friendly) SWAT Team visit to BJKM, and graduation.

We are also saying good-bye to BJKM Principal Theresa Danaher after 35 years of faithful service to God through her vocation as a teacher and administrator. See Crusader Heritage Section for our farewell.

2026 CCHS Graduation

Catholic Central High School’s 135th Commencement began with the 2026 Baccalaureate Mass at Franciscan University’s Finnegan Fieldhouse on Sunday, May 23rd.

Mass was celebrated by CCHS Chaplain Father Josh Erickson. With graduation day coinciding  with the Feast of Pentecost, Father Erickson in his homily celebrated how fitting it was the this final sending forth of our Class of 2026 be on the same day we celebrate the sending forth of the Church to all nations to preach the Gospel by the power of the Holy Spirit. He exhorted the graduates to be open to the Holy Spirit’s guidance wherever they are called in life.

Following the Baccalaureate Mass, graduation began with our Crusader Band performing the classic, “Pomp and Circumstance” as the Class of 2026 processed in.

After an opening invocation by Father Erickson and a welcome and greeting from CCHS Principal Dr. Todd Phillipson (’87), the Class of 2026 was addressed by Salutatorian, Brendan Kuebler and Valedictorian, Mary Rhode, who both emphasized the importance of gratitude for the gift of Catholic education and the importance of staying close to friends, family, and Our Lord.

Following their addresses, the Class was addressed by keynote speaker Judge Joseph Corabi (’70), who congratulated the graduates, and called them to remain resilient in the face of the challenges and adventures that lie ahead and reminding them that nothing of value is ever obtained without hard work and persevering through and learning from failure.

A special moment was when Judge Corabi presented his granddaughter, Elise Kathryn Corabi, with her diploma.

Thank you to all who attended our 2026 Commencement Exercises and for all who worked so hard to make them a seamless and beautiful ceremony!

Crusader Quote

Ride on Crusaders

Poem from the closing page of the CCHS 1980 Yearbook

As the mist rises from the mountain,
the once Pages, now Crusaders, descend from the castle.

Their adventures here are through.
The memories have been instilled,
and the greatest knowledge has been gained.

They are enchanted with the spirits of those gone before them;
they are sharing the spirit of those who will remain.

Far forever they shall be Crusaders;
they will mount their futures and ride out into the world:
to change it, to better it, and to conquer it.

Ride on Crusaders … ride on.

May God bless the Class of 2026 in this next stage of their vocations!

Thank you for keeping in touch and being a part of our Crusader Family!

God bless you and GO BLUE!
